Second Commencement of Adigrat University

In its second commencement, Adigrat University graduated 1027 students in a colorful ceremony held at the University Campus on Saturday July 18/2015. Present at the event were federal, regional, and zonal dignitaries.  Also present were parents and friends of graduates as well as city residents in traditional and lovely costumes.

   The graduates came from four colleges and 16 departments. The College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences graduated 98 students from three departments; namely, Animal Production and Technology, Plant Science, and Natural Resource Management. The College of Business and Economics graduated 430 students in three departments: Accounting and Finance, Economics, and Management. 312 graduates came from six departments of the College of Natural and Computational Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Sport Science, and Statistics. The College of Social Sciences and Humanities graduated 187 students in four departments: Civics and Ethical Education, English Language and Literature, Geography, and Psychology. Of the total number of graduates 28 were Eritrean Refugees who were granted free scholarship by the Ethiopian government.

Adigrat University announces academic vacant positions for the 2008 EC with intention of recruiting competent Ethiopian candidates who have terminal degree (PhD), Masters Degree (MSc/MA) or First Degree holders (BA/BSc). Please note that candidates with higher degrees in the same/similar field will be given a priority without competition with those having lower degrees.
