Adigrat University Signs Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gumaye Foundation.

Adigrat University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gumaye Foundation to strengthen collaboration in the areas of culture, heritage, and tourism, with a particular focus on the ancient heritage materials of Eastern Tigray.

The partnership also covers literacy and education, research and innovation, peacebuilding, training and development, humanitarian issues, and emergency response.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Gebremicheal Woldegbriel, President of Adigrat University, and Dr. Hagos Abreha Abay, Founder and CEO of the Gumaye Foundation.

During the signing ceremony, both parties expressed strong commitment to advancing the partnership and ensuring that the objectives of the agreement translate into meaningful and practical results on the ground.

በዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርሲቲ በሴቶችና ማሕበረሰብ ጉዳዮች ኣካትቶ ትግበራ ስራ አስፈፃሚ ኣዘጋጅነት “ጥቃትን የማይታገስ ማሕበረሰብ ለትውልድ ግንባታ” በሚል መሪ ቃል በአለም ለ34ኛ ግዜ በኢ/ያ ደግሞ ለ20ኛ ግዜ የነጭ ሪቫን ቀን የዩኒቨርሲቲው ከፍተኛ አመራር፣ የዩኒቨርሲቲው ሰራተኞች፣ ተማሪዎች እንዲሁም የዓዲግራት ከተማ የማሕበረሰብ ተወካዮች በተገኙበት ተከብሯል ።

በመክፈቻ ስነ ስርዓት የዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርሲቲ የሴቶችና ማ/ሰብ ጉዳዮች ኣካትቶ ትግበራ ስራ ኣስፈፃሚ ወ/ሮ ይርጋለም ነጋሽ በሴቶችና ህፃናት የሚደርሱ ማንኛውም ዓይነት ፆታዊ ጥቃትን ዝም ኣልልም የሚል ማሕበረሰብ እንዲፈጠርና ከማንኛውም ዓይነት የሴቶች ጥቃት ነፃ የሆነ ምቹ የስራ ቦታ ለመፍጠር ሁሉም በትብብር እንዲሰራ መልእክታቸውን ኣስተላልፈዋል።

ይህ በእንዲህ እንዳለ የዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕረዚዳንት ተወካይ ዶ/ር ሃፍታይ ገ/የሱስ ነጭ ሪቫን ማለት በተለያዩ የስራ ቦታዎች ስነ ምግባር የጎደላቸው ወንዶች በሴቶች ላይ የሚፈፅሙት ፆታዊ ፣ ስነ ልቦናዊ፣ ወሲባዊ ትንኮሳና ማስፈራራትን መከላከል ነው ብለዋል። ከዚህ በተጨማሪ የሴች ጥቃት ለመከላከልና ለማስቀረት ሁሉም እጅ ለእጅ በመያያዝ በግንባር ቀዳምነት ሚናው ሊወጣ ይገባል ሲሉ መልእክት አስተላልፏል ።

በመድረኩ የፀረ ፆታዊ ጥቃት(ነጭ ሪቫን ቀን) የሚል መወያያ ፅሑፍ በሕግ መምህርት ስእለይ ሽበሺ ቀርበዋል። በቀረበው መወያያ ፅሑፍ በተሳታፊዎች ጥያቄና አስተያየት የቀረበ ሲሆን ፤ በአዘጋጆች ማብራሪያ እና መልስ ተሰጥቷል ።

የዩኒቨርስቲው ኣርት ክለብ ኣባላትም በመድረኩ ከዕለቱ ፕሮግራም ተያያዥ ያላቸው የስነ-ጥበብ ስራዎች ኣቅርበዋል።

Directors and Executives Under the President and Vice President for Administration and Development Sign Key Performance Contracts.

Adigrat University President, Dr. Gebremicheal Woldegebriel, officially signed Key Performance Contracts (KPCs) with executives and directors under the President’s Office on November 5, 2025.

During the event, Dr. Gebremicheal emphasized that the 2018 E.C. (2025 G.C.) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will serve as benchmarks for evaluating the performance of each executive and director, as well as identifying key areas for improvement and focus.

He also reminded executives and directors to share responsibilities and cascade KPIs to team leaders and staff, measuring performance based on cumulative outcomes to ensure effective implementation and institutional success.

The Vice President for Administration and Development, Assoc. Prof. Tsigab Aregawi, also highlighted that the 2018 (2025) KPI performance must be effective across all areas, urging the team to work diligently to further strengthen institutional performance.

He added that the objectives and outcomes of KPI performance should be specific, measurable, and achievable, and stressed that the administrative wing must provide full support to the teaching, learning, and research wings in alignment with the expected KPIs.
