Department of Civil Engineering
The Department of Civil Engineering is one of the departments in the College of Engineering and Technology. The department has been in operation since 2012. (i.e. since the year the university started its work) it has been accepting and teaching students. The department is working on specific areas of focus to fulfill its responsibility at the university and national level. The department has been able to do better jobs so far by implementing a proper monitoring system. It will work as an army to achieve the tasks of the department and the overall mission of the university by solving bottlenecks in terms of skills and resources and managing operations in a planned manner in all around the community and the nearby urbanization.

By 2030, it is to make an educational, research and research center where technological innovations that are useful for our country and the world community will be carried out.
Mission
The department’s mission is to improve the quality of life through excellence in education and research. To achieve this we will serve all who have an interest in our success and be the vanguard in the creation and improvement of the nation’s essential systems and technologies.
Overall contents & progress of the department:
After moving for the last 12 years progressively, this department is now become one of the broad departments of our college and the university as a whole. This year, the department has four batches.
Also, there are around 120 instructors, 8 technical assistants, and 1 secretary in the department. Among the instructors three are Assistant professors of which one is a PhD holder,87 are lecturers who have accomplished their MSc degree from different streams and are at work now, the rest are assistant lecturers who are doing their MSc thesis and one is a PhD candidate.
Additionally, in the coming academic year, we will have two newly opened Bachelors such as:
Hydraulic engineering and surveying technology/engineering are going on their need of assessment for establishment.
Main activities and conducts of the Department
Our department participates in various income source activities.
The laboratory works that have been started in the past years and consulting work for nearby beneficiaries will continue to contribute to the development of the cities near us by conducting laboratory tests in our laboratories and workshops so that the internal income of our university will continue to grow and strengthen.
