Welcome to the General Services Directorate. Our team is the backbone of the campus, working diligently to create and maintain an environment where students can learn, faculty can teach and innovate, and staff can excel. Core Responsibilities

We provide the foundational support that allows the university’s academic and administrative functions to thrive. Our key service areas include:

  1. All-Purpose Facility Maintenance

We are the first point of contact for keeping our campus buildings in excellent condition. Our team handles a broad spectrum of general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the integrity and safety of our facilities.

  • General carpentry, painting, and masonry repairs.
  • Maintenance of doors, windows, and building fixtures.
  • General-purpose upkeep of structural and non-structural elements.
    (Note: Specialized electrical and plumbing services are managed by their respective dedicated departments).
  1. Campus Environment & Beautification

We believe a beautiful and clean environment is essential for a positive university experience. We are proud to be the custodians of our campus’s aesthetic appeal.

  • Cleaning & Custodial Services: Implementing rigorous cleaning and sanitation protocols for all classrooms, offices, labs, and common areas.
  • Campus Beauty & Parks: Meticulously managing all landscaping, grounds keeping, and the maintenance of university parks and green spaces.
  1. Operational & Academic Support

We provide the logistical and administrative support necessary for seamless daily operations and special university functions.

  • Classroom & Event Setup: Ensuring all learning spaces and event venues are properly configured and ready for use.
  • Office Administration & Support: Assisting with departmental moves, furniture management, and other logistical needs.
  • Photocopy & Duplication Services: Providing reliable and efficient copying, printing, and document production services for academic and administrative departments.
  1. Electronics & Equipment Maintenance

We ensure that essential non-IT electronic equipment is functional and reliable, supporting both academic and administrative activities.

  • Maintenance of audio-visual (AV) equipment in classrooms and meeting halls.
  • Upkeep of a variety of general office and operational equipment.
  1. Residential Services

We provide comprehensive support for university-managed housing, ensuring a comfortable and safe living environment for our faculty and staff.

  • Apartment Administration: Managing residential facilities and providing prompt general maintenance to support our residents.
  1. Labor & Logistical Services

We serve as the central resource for the university’s operational workforce, providing reliable and skilled personnel for various projects and needs.

  • Supply of Skilled & Unskilled Labor: Deploying a competent workforce to support university projects, events, and departmental tasks.
