College of Medicine and Health Sciences Undertakes Comprehensive Curriculum Revision Across All Academic Programs.

The College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) at Adigrat University has initiated a comprehensive curriculum revision of its 10 academic programs to enhance academic quality and align training with current healthcare needs and technological advancements.

The review workshop brought together university leaders, faculty members, and stakeholders. Opening the event, Dr. Tasew Abraha, Chief Academic and Research Director, emphasized the importance of curriculum revision in maintaining educational excellence. Dr. Yemane Gebremariam, Dean of CMHS, highlighted the need to produce graduates who are academically competent, technologically adaptable, and socially responsible.

Mr. Girmay Tadele, Academic Program Director, commended the College for taking the lead in advancing the University’s academic reform agenda.

The workshop concluded with constructive discussions and feedback, which will be incorporated into the revised curricula to ensure alignment with national standards and emerging healthcare demands.

Adigrat University Graduates 250 Staff Members from ELIP and HDP Programs.

Adigrat University has successfully graduated 250 academic staff members in its second-round capacity-building programs, comprising 140 participants from the English Language Improvement Program (ELIP) and 110 participants from the Higher Diploma Program (HDP), during a colorful graduation ceremony held at the Debre Damo Hotel.

Delivering the opening remarks, the President of Adigrat University, Gebremichael Woldegabriel, congratulated the graduates and their trainers on their successful completion of the programs. He noted that both ELIP and HDP are rigorous professional development initiatives that require dedication, perseverance, and commitment. He expressed his satisfaction with the achievements of the participants and commended their efforts in successfully completing the training.

During the ceremony, Araia Debalkew, Dean of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, delivered a welcome address to the participants and guests. This was followed by congratulatory remarks from Gebrewahid Tsige, Coordinator of the English Language Improvement Program (ELIP), who praised the graduates for their dedication and successful completion of the program.

In addition, Mr. Getnet, Head of the Leadership and Teacher Development Coordination Office, provided a brief overview of the graduation program and highlighted the significance of the training initiatives in enhancing professional competence among academic staff.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks delivered by Girmay Tadele, Director of Academic Programs, who congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to apply the knowledge and skills they acquired to improve teaching quality and academic excellence within the university.

The ELIP and HDP programs are integral components of Adigrat University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the professional competencies of its academic staff. የዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርሲቲ የሕክምናና ጤና ሳይንስ ኮሌጅ (ዓዩ-ሕጤሳኮ) የ2018 በጀት ዓመት የ11 ወራት የሥራ ዕቅድ አፈጻጸም ግምገማ አካሂዷል።

የኮሌጁ ዲን ዶ/ር የማነ ገብረማርያም ባቀረቡት ሪፖርት፣ ኮሌጁ በመማርና ማስተማር ዘርፍ ብቁና ተወዳዳሪ ተመራቂዎችን በማፍራት፣ በጥናትና ምርምር ዘርፍ አሳታፊና ችግር ፈቺ ተግባራትን በማከናወን፣ እንዲሁም በማኅበረሰብ አገልግሎት ተደራሽነትን ማዕከል ባደረጉ ሥራዎች ጉልህ አፈጻጸም እያሳየ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል።

በተጨማሪም ኮሌጁ ዩኒቨርሲቲው በጤና ዘርፍ በመካከለኛና በረጅም ጊዜ ለማሳካት ካስቀመጣቸው ቁልፍ የአፈጻጸም መለኪያዎች (KPIs) ጋር በተጣጣመ መልኩ እየሠራ እንደሚገኝ አስረድተዋል።

ዶ/ር የማነ እንደገለጹት፣ የዓመቱ ዕቅዶች ከሆስፒታሉ መጠቃለል ጋር በተያያዘ እንደገና ተከልሰው ወደ ሥራ የተገባ ቢሆንም፣ ኮሌጁ በሽግግር ሂደት ላይ በመሆኑ አንዳንድ ተግዳሮቶች እንዳሉ ጠቁመዋል። እነዚህን ችግሮች ለመቅረፍም ከዩኒቨርሲቲው ከፍተኛ አመራሮችና ከቦርድ አመራር ጋር በትኩረት እየተሠራ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል።

የግምገማ መድረኩ ዋና ዓላማ በተሰጡ የትኩረት አቅጣጫዎች መሠረት በየዳይሬክቶሬቱ የተከናወኑ ሥራዎችን በመገምገም እንደ መልካም ተሞክሮ ሊስፋፉ የሚችሉ አፈጻጸሞችን ለይቶ ለማወቅ፣ እንዲሁም የአፈጻጸም ክፍተት የሚታይባቸውን ዘርፎች በመለየት ተገቢውን ክትትልና ድጋፍ ለማድረግ እንደሚረዳ ዶ/ር የማነ አብራርተዋል።

በዛሬው ዕለት በተካሄደው የ11 ወራት አጠቃላይ የሥራ አፈጻጸም ግምገማ መድረክ ላይ ከኮሌጁ የማኔጅመንት አባላት፣ ከረዳት ጽሕፈት ቤት ኃላፊዎች እና ከተለያዩ የሥራ ኃላፊነት ቦታዎች የተውጣጡ 105 ተሳታፊዎች ተገኝተዋል።

ከተሳታፊዎች ለተነሱ ጥያቄዎችና አስተያየቶች በሚመለከታቸው የማኔጅመንት አባላት ማብራሪያ እና ምላሽ ከተሰጠ በኋላ፣ ሁሉም ሠራተኞች የየራሳቸውን የሥራ ድርሻ በኃላፊነት እንዲወጡ በማሳሰብ የኮሌጁ ዲን መድረኩን ዘግተዋል።
