College of Business and Economics
The College of Business and Economics was established in October 2011 to respond to the nation’s growing need for skilled professionals capable of thriving in a competitive business environment, both nationally and internationally. Beyond producing competent graduates, the College fulfills its public responsibility by supporting national development through quality education, research that addresses societal challenges, and community-based services.
Academic Programs
Since its inception, the College has offered three major undergraduate degree programs (available in both regular and evening sessions):
Department of Accounting and Finance
Department of Economics
Department of Management
The College began with 175 students (Accounting and Finance: 68; Economics: 43; Management: 64), with 54% female and 46% male students. As of the 2012/2013 academic year, the College enrolled more than 483 students out of the 521 assigned (Accounting and Finance: 200; Economics: 110; Management: 173), with 69% male and 31% female students.
