Library and Documentation Directorate

The Adigrat University Library and Documentation Directorate plays a vital role in supporting the university’s teaching, learning, and research missions. It serves as a central hub for academic resources, offering access to both physical and digital collections that meet the diverse information needs of students, faculty, and researchers.

The Directorate is responsible for developing and managing the university’s library system, ensuring the availability of up-to-date books, journals, e-resources, and databases. It also oversees proper cataloging, archiving, and documentation of institutional records to preserve academic and administrative information for future reference.

In collaboration with the ICT Directorate, the Library is enhancing digital access through online library systems, electronic repositories, and automated catalog services, enabling users to access learning materials anytime and anywhere. Additionally, the Directorate provides user training, research support, and information literacy programs to promote effective use of academic resources.
