 ICT Infrastructure and Services

Adigrat University (AdU) has undertaken a comprehensive ICT modernization project to create a resilient, efficient, and future-ready digital ecosystem that supports academic, research, administrative, and community engagement functions. Central to this initiative is the Main Data Center (IDS2000-M), which serves as the backbone of the University’s digital operations.

Main Data Center and Network Operations

The IDS2000-M data center provides a modular, scalable, and energy-efficient platform for all ICT services. Key features include:

  • Integrated IT, power, and cooling systems for 24/7 reliability.
  • Smart monitoring for performance, energy use, and security compliance.
  • A hybrid power system combining grid, diesel backup, and solar energy to ensure uninterrupted operation.
  • A Network Operations Center (NOC) for centralized monitoring, security oversight, and incident response.

The data center supports the Campus-Wide Network, including high-speed wired and wireless connectivity with centralized management systems, ensuring reliable access both on-campus and off-campus.

Core ICT Services
