I’m truly pleased to share a few thoughts about the incredible work happening through our ICT Directorate here at Adigrat University. Over the past few years, it’s been clear that ICT is not just a support function anymore it’s central to how we teach, how we learn, and how we run our university.
What our ICT team has been doing is nothing short of remarkable. From building a strong data center, rolling out campus-wide wireless internet, and setting up virtual desktops, to helping nearby secondary schools with free internet access—this kind of impact is what we had always hoped for. They’re not just solving problems; they’re pushing us forward.
One thing that makes me especially proud is seeing how technology is helping our student’s study better and our staff work more efficiently. We’ve also managed to build meaningful partnerships with Ethio Telecom, the Ministry of Education, INSA, and strong implementers like BIOS Engineering, AdIU Communication Services, and NOBICOM. These collaborations are really helping us move faster and do things more sustainably.
There’s still a lot of work ahead, of course. But seeing how far we’ve come, I’m confident we’re on the right track. We’re not just installing equipment—we’re creating the foundation for a smarter, more connected university.
So, a sincere thank you to everyone involved our ICT staff, partners, and everyone who’s been supporting this digital transformation. Let’s keep going, together.
