Peer review process

The reviewing process will be carried out in a systematic manner and take proper precautions to avoid bias, malpractices and poor reviewing. The process may take up to a maximum of six months. Scientific journals publishing peer-reviewed articles depend heavily on the scientific reviewers who typically volunteer their time and expertise. In most circumstances, at least two reviewers are solicited to evaluate a manuscript; some journals request 3 reviews. This may be required in situations where review by a statistician is needed. In cases of controversy or strong disagreement regarding the merits of the work, an additional review may also be solicited or one of the journal’s editors might give an evaluation. More than three reviewers are sometimes used if reviewers from several fields are needed to obtain a thorough evaluation of a paper. In addition to fairness in judgment and expertise in the field, peer reviewers have significant responsibilities toward authors, editors, and readers. The Editor-in-chief communicates the outcome of the review processes such as acceptance, details of the modifications required or rejection to the authors. The author(s) are expected to address the comments of the experts and make the modifications suggested by them. In case of disagreement between the author and reviewers, or between the reviewers themselves, the decision of associate/Editor-in-chief is final.
  • Reviewers will be responsible for returning their reviews within 21 days after receiving the paper.
  • Before a reviewer is sent an article, he will be asked whether or not he has the time to review the article. Reviewers will be encouraged to accept the paper only if they can realistically guarantee a 3 week If an editorial member declines to review an article, this will NOT be considered anti-social, even if the reviewer has declined on several previous occasions.

Open Access

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The Journal does not require any article processing charges (APC) or any article submission charges (ASC). Paper off prints can be ordered via the offprint order form which is sent once the article is accepted for publication with chargers depending on pages required.
